This video is called "GM Motorama Exhibit 1956" and it's supposed to show the future of motoring as they imagined it back then. I watched it and I'm a little confused right now. There are a lot of Dubyas floating around in my head. Why? What? What for? Who was the target audience?
Just watch it for the entertainment value. If someone could provide a little clarification, I wouldn't mind.

I lasted about 90 seconds before devolving into MST3K style commentary.
I tried really hard, honest!

Let's see, by 1976 GM had not given us turbine cars, but they had given us the Vega and the 150hp Corvette. Not exactly the progress they had envisioned. And all of those glass towers would have been hotter than hell in the summer.
And yes, I too want the slot car track.
